Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Parts

Find your model number first. It is printed on a label on the back or side of the motor unit, usually near the light lens. Chamberlain models start with a letter — B for belt drive, C and PD for chain drive, WD and HD for the wall and heavy duty ranges.

Not sure which part has failed? Call (866) 965-5599 and we will work it out with you before you order.

B Series — Belt Drive

Belt sized by door height, not rail length. See the belt and rail parts.

C and D Series — Chain Drive

Motor runs but the door does not move? That is usually the gear and sprocket. See the chain drive rail parts.

PD Series

HD Series — Heavy Duty

LW Series

WD Series

RJO Wall Mount Openers

Common Repairs

Door will not close and the light blinks. Safety sensors, nine times out of ten — and usually alignment or a stapled wire rather than a failed eye. See safety eye sensors.

Motor runs but the door does not move. On a chain or belt drive that is the gear and sprocket — the nylon gear strips. Find your model above; the gear kit is on its page.

Remote stopped working. Try a battery first. If several remotes fail at once it is the receiver logic board. The 893MAX replaces almost every older Chamberlain, LiftMaster and Craftsman remote.

Door reverses at the wrong point, or will not learn its travel. On the EV and newer models that is usually the travel module rather than the logic board — a cheaper part and a quicker job.

About Chamberlain Parts

Chamberlain and LiftMaster openers are built by the same manufacturer, so many parts — safety sensors, door arms, release hardware, chain and master links — are shared between the two brands. If a part is not listed on your Chamberlain model page, it is worth checking the LiftMaster parts section too.

Part numbers usually begin 041 for assemblies and K for kitted hardware, and the same part often appears under several forms, such as 041C4220A and 41C4220A. Search either way and you will find it.

If your model is not listed above, or the part you need is not on its page, call (866) 965-5599. We have been repairing these openers since 1993 and can usually identify a part from a photo or a description.
