Chamberlain 7902, 9950, 9950D and 9960 Replacement Parts

These are screw drive openers. This parts list covers all four models:

Good news on the logic board. The original 41A5389-1B is discontinued, but the 041AS050-1 is a current part and replaces it. That is unusual for a screw drive of this age — on most, a failed board ends the repair.

Several drivetrain parts are no longer available. The capacitor (30B363), limit switch assembly (041D4671), RPM sensor (41C4672), motor support bracket (12B654), motor mount bracket (41A5394), low voltage harness (41C5417) and motor pulley (144B0041M) are all discontinued with no replacement. If one of those has failed, call (866) 965-5599 before spending anything else — we will tell you honestly whether the repair is still worth doing, and you can see current replacement openers if it is not.

If the opener is dead and the board number reads 41A5389-1B, order the 041AS050-1 — it is the current replacement. Before assuming the board, check the terminal block and line cord; on a screw drive of this age a dead unit is often simpler than it looks.

A screw drive that groans, stalls or runs slowly usually needs cleaning and re-greasing rather than new parts. Strip the old hardened grease off completely before applying fresh — that alone fixes most complaints on these openers. See all Chamberlain screw drive rail parts.

Safety sensors became a legal requirement in 1993, so the earliest openers in this range may not have them. If yours does, the current 041-0136 eye kit replaces the older 41A5034 and fits Chamberlain and LiftMaster openers alike.
