Chamberlain Chain Drive Chains and Rail Parts
Chains, trolleys, rails and the hardware that goes with them, for Chamberlain chain drive openers. Two things decide which chain you need: your door height and your rail type. Get both right and the rest is straightforward.
Check your rail before ordering a chain. Look at the rail in cross section:
- T shaped — the common residential rail. Takes the 041A3473 family.
- Square, box section — used on the WD, HD and PD square rail openers. Takes the 041A5807 family.
The two are not interchangeable. Measure the door opening for height, not the rail length. If you are unsure, call (866) 965-5599 and we will identify it with you.

A slack chain can usually be re-tensioned rather than replaced. Replace it if the links are stiff, the cable is frayed, or the chain has jumped the sprocket. If the chain has jumped, check the gear and sprocket too — a worn sprocket will throw a new chain just as quickly.

There are two trolleys: the 041A3489 for T rail and the 041C5141-1 for square rail. They are not interchangeable — match it to your rail. Whenever the rail is apart, check the trolley and its wear pads: a worn trolley rocks in the rail and chews through chains.

The 041A8094 kit contains both arm sections and is usually the better buy if you are replacing the arm rather than repairing it.

The current 041-0136 eye kit replaces the older 41A5034 and fits Chamberlain and LiftMaster openers alike. If remote range has dropped off, try an antenna extender before replacing the logic board — it is a fraction of the cost and fixes the problem more often than people expect.
