Genuine LiftMaster 041DJ002MC receiver logic board with mounting plate (printed 041DJ002 / 41DJ002) — the Security+ 2.0 board with the yellow learn button for the LiftMaster 8500 and 8500C and the Chamberlain RJO20, RJO20C and RJO20CH wall-mount (jackshaft) openers. LiftMaster lists it for the Security+ 2.0 RJO-series wall-mount openers (its page says manufactured after 2015).
Three wall-mount boards look alike — read the number. Yellow learn button and 041DJ002 on the board is this part. A purple learn button and 041DJ001 is the older 3800 / RJO and takes the 041DJ001B. An 8500W with Wi-Fi has the 050DCRJWF on it. The current 98022 and 98032 use the 041DJ003MC and 050DCRJB3MC.

A beeping jackshaft is usually not the board. The cable tension monitor stops the opener when a door cable goes slack, and the power door lock stops it when the door is locked. Check the cables, springs and the 041A6104 cable tension monitor before ordering a board.
Parts often replaced with it
041B8861 travel module · 041A6095 DC motor · 041C0168 transformer · 041A6104 cable tension monitor · 041A6102 power door lock · 485LM backup battery · 893LM remote
Is the board actually the problem?
The logic board is the most over-ordered part on a garage door opener. Work down this list before you buy:
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Opener beeps and will not run | A slack cable tripping the cable tension monitor, or the power door lock engaged — check both before the board |
| Opener completely dead — no light, no beep, nothing from the wall button | The outlet and breaker, then the line cord and the transformer. The board is last on this list, not first |
| Light comes on but the motor does nothing, or clicks once | On these DC units the motor and travel module, then the wiring between them and the board |
| Door will not close and the opener light flashes 10 times | The safety sensors — alignment, a cut wire or a sun-blinded eye. This is never the board |
| Remotes and keypad stopped working but the wall button works | Remote batteries, then re-program them to the learn button. Only if the learn button LED never lights is the receiver on the board suspect |
| Lost its Wi-Fi or myQ connection | The router, the phone app and the Wi-Fi signal in the garage — not the board. Re-run the myQ setup from the app before ordering anything |
| Runs a few inches and reverses, or stops short of the floor | Door balance and the travel and force settings first, then the travel module. The board only after those |
| Beeps every few seconds, or runs slowly on battery | The backup battery is a consumable — replace it before suspecting the board |
| Learn button LED never lights, opener runs one way only, or it failed the night of a storm | The board. Surge damage is the single most common reason one of these is replaced |
After fitting
The replacement board arrives blank. After fitting it you will need to set the travel limits and force, program every remote, keypad and vehicle HomeLink to the new learn button, and re-test the safety reversal on a 2x4 laid flat on the floor. Re-set the travel limits from the wall-mount's buttons and re-test the cable tension monitor and the power door lock. If you used myQ through an 828LM gateway, re-add the opener in the app.
Put the opener on a surge protector when you fit the new board. Lightning and utility surges are the most common reason a garage door opener logic board is replaced, and a new board on the same unprotected outlet is at the same risk. A plug-in surge protector rated for motors is a small cost next to a second board.
Common questions
Does this fit the 8500W?
No. The Wi-Fi hardware on the 8500W sits on its board, the 050DCRJWF. Read the number on the board you are removing.
Is the 041DJ002 the same as the 041DJ002MC?
Yes. 041DJ002 is printed on the board; 041DJ002MC is the boxed service part, supplied on its mounting plate.
