LiftMaster 893LM Security+ 2.0 3-Button Remote Control

The LiftMaster 893LM is a three-button visor-style remote for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Sears/Craftsman openers built with Security+ 2.0 technology — the ones that use the round yellow learn button (roughly 2011 to present). Program up to three garage doors, gate operators, or myQ-enabled light accessories into one remote.

Compatibility — Yellow Learn Button Only

The 893LM works only with Security+ 2.0 openers that have the round yellow smart learn button, including LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Sears/Craftsman, Raynor, Master Mechanic, and AccessMaster units, plus Security+ 2.0 gate and commercial operators.

Important: This remote will NOT work with older openers that use a green, orange/red, purple, or gray learn button. If your opener has one of those colors, choose the LiftMaster 893MAX instead, which covers all learn-button colors.

893LM vs. 893MAX — Which Do I Need?

• 893LM — yellow learn button (Security+ 2.0) only
• 893MAX — works with all learn-button colors (green, orange/red, purple, yellow), 1993 to present

If you're not sure, the 893MAX is the safer universal choice.

For openers with the newest white round learn button (Security+ 3.0, 2026+), the 893LM's successor is the LiftMaster L993S.
