Genuine Ramset 800-65-01 etl logic board — the logic board of Ramset’s current ETL control set. It runs the operator; a separate driver board switches the motor, and the driver is different for AC and DC operators.

AC or DC? It pairs with the 800-65-02 driver on AC operators and the 800-65-05 driver on DC operators — specify AC or DC when ordering. Read the operator’s model and data plate before ordering.

Ramset control boards, by generation

Ramset’s RAM slide and swing operators have used three generations of control electronics. Read the number on the board in your operator before ordering:

BoardWhat it is
800-63-00Intelligate control board, domestic, for operators built before the 2016 UL325 changeover. Also numbered 50-036C; replaces the 5-12H
800-63-00-INTLIntelligate control board, international version, pre-2016
800-63-00-ULIntelligate board for the first UL325 (2016) operators — discontinued by Ramset
800-65-01ETL logic board, current — specify AC or DC
800-65-02ETL AC driver board, pairs with the 800-65-01 on AC operators
800-65-05ETL DC driver board, pairs with the 800-65-01 on DC operators
800-76-505-12 upgrade kit assembly — the ETL board set to bring an older operator up to date

Is this board actually the problem?

SymptomCheck first
Operator dead, no board lightsIncoming power, the fuse and the transformer before the board
Powers up but ignores every inputThe board
Board lights but the motor will not runOn the ETL generation, the driver board before the logic board; then the motor, capacitor and contactor
Logic board lights and responds, motor will not runThe driver board (800-65-02 AC or 800-65-05 DC), then the motor
Gate opens but will not closeA loop detector, photo eye or edge holding it open, not the board
Failed after a stormSurge damage — the board
Burnt smell, scorching or a bulged capacitor on the boardThe board — replace it

After fitting

The new board arrives unprogrammed. Set the limits and force, relearn every transmitter into the 800-64-50 receiver terminal, re-enter timer, loop and accessory settings, and re-test every entrapment protection device before returning the gate to service.

Fit surge protection at the same time. Storm damage is a leading cause of gate operator board failure. If this board died after a storm, the replacement is at the same risk unless the installation is protected.
