Genuine LiftMaster K1D8387-1CC expansion board — the UL325 expansion board that pairs with every current LiftMaster gate operator main board. It carries the extra monitored inputs, loop and accessory connections that the main board does not have room for. One expansion board serves the whole UL325 range: pad-mounts, arm operators, AC commercial operators, and the HD and industrial models.
Which main board is it paired with? K1D8389-1CC on the DC pad-mounts (CSL24U, CSW24U, RSL12U, RSW12U, HCTDCU). K1D8388-1CC on the arm operators (LA400U, LA412U, LA500U and UL). K1D6761-1CC on the AC commercial operators (SL3000U, CSW200U, SL585U, SL595U). K41-0073-000MC on the HD and industrial operators (HDSW24UL, HDSL24UL, IHSL24UL, INSL24UL). If your main board is one of those, this is your expansion board.
Older generations take a different expansion board. The VDC-generation pad-mounts and the LA500/LA500DC use the K1D8080-1CC; the V-generation CSL24V/CSW24V use the K1D6686CC. Read the number on your existing expansion board before ordering.

Is the expansion board actually the problem?

After fitting
Photograph the harness before removing the old board and reconnect the new one the same way. Re-learn any monitored devices wired to it and re-test every entrapment protection device to UL325 before returning the gate to service.
Fit surge protection at the same time. Storm damage is a leading cause of gate operator board failure. If this board died after a storm, the replacement is at the same risk unless the installation is protected.
