Miller Edge MU22 – Sectional Door Sensing Edge, Tall Profile
The Miller Edge MU22 is a sensing edge for sectional doors, sized for 2-inch thick surfaces with a tall profile for optimum contact with the floor. When touched lightly, it sends an immediate signal to the operator controls to stop and/or reverse door operation.
The top tabs wrap around the leading edge of a sectional door. The durable vinyl jacket is flexible and conforms to irregularities in the floor, and end flaps extend 5–6 inches beyond the active edge.

Before you order — four things to confirm
1. Length. Measure the width of a sectional panel. Ordered in 1/4 inch increments.
2. Cord location. Left, right, end, top, or universal — see below.
3. Color. Black, gray, yellow, yellow/black striped, chemical-resistant yellow XR5, or Armored.
4. Monitoring. The designator is set by your operator, not by the edge — see the designator guide.

Dimensions

End flaps extend 5–6 inches beyond the active edge.

Cord Location
The cord location is where the lead exits the edge. MU models offer five positions:
- L or R — left or right, referenced from the inside looking out. Which side is your operator mounted on?
- E — end of the edge
- T — top, exiting the back face
- Universal — plug-in connection at the end

Get this wrong and the lead runs the opposite way across the opening — and the edge is built to order. See the Gate Edge Handing Guide if you are unsure.
Monitored or Non-Monitored?
Monitored edges are required for UL 325 listed operators built after August 29, 2010 that have a monitored circuit. For older units and most other applications, a non-monitored edge is used.
MU22 is available as 2-wire monitored, 4-wire monitored, 2-wire non-monitored, Air-Wave, pneumatic, or bumper (no sensor). The designator is set by your operator, not by the edge. See the full designator guide for the T1 through T6 reference table.
Important: Sensing edges are custom made and are not returnable. Please confirm the correct designator with your operator manufacturer before ordering.
