Genuine LiftMaster KPR2000 wired keypad and proximity reader — a vandal-resistant zinc keypad with a built-in 125 kHz HID proximity reader that either runs a gate on its own (2,000 users, one relay) or feeds a 26-bit Wiegand stream to a LiftMaster access controller such as the EL2000SS, EL25 or CAPXLV. Card, PIN or card-plus-PIN per user, IP68 sealed, single-gang or pedestal mount. 12–24 VDC; power supply sold separately.
Stand-alone or Wiegand? On its own the KPR2000 stores its users in the keypad and closes its relay to trigger the operator — fine for a single gate with a short user list. Wired to a controller it becomes a reader: the controller holds the database, logs events and can hold thousands of credentials. LiftMaster publishes wiring sheets for the EL2000SS and EL25; any controller with a 26-bit Wiegand input (CAPXLV, CAPXM, CAPXS, CAPAC, third-party panels) takes it the same way.

Common questions
Which cards and fobs?
Standard 125 kHz HID-format 26-bit proximity cards and key fobs, and the 30-bit Sentex format LiftMaster used on its older telephone entry systems. It does not read the 13.56 MHz smart cards or the UHF windshield tags.
Can I flush-mount it?
It is a surface unit that mounts on a single-gang box or a 2.4 in pedestal face. A recessed installation needs a back box or trim you make up on site.
Does it come with a power supply?
No. Use a regulated 12 VDC supply of 2 A or more, or the 12 V accessory output on the controller if it has the capacity.
KPR2000 or a wireless keypad?
Wireless keypads (KPW5, KPW250) are quicker to fit but give you a PIN only. The KPR2000 adds cards and fobs, an event trail through the controller, and no batteries to change.
