Genuine LiftMaster K41-0095-000 BLDC motor drive board — the board that drives the brushless DC motor in the HDSW24UL heavy-duty swing and HDSL24UL heavy-duty slide operators. It takes its power from the K41-0071-000 HD power board and its commands from the main control board.
Motor and drive board fail together more often than not. LiftMaster sells a K41-0097-000 kit with the K41-0082-000 HD motor, this drive board and the power board. If the motor has been overheating or stalling, replace the pair rather than the board alone.

The boards in the HD and industrial family
LiftMaster’s four heavy-duty DC operators share most of their electronics. The table below is taken from the repair-parts pages of the HDSW24UL, HDSL24UL and IHSL24UL/INSL24UL manuals; the part you are on is in bold.
| Operator | Control board | Power board | Motor drive | Relay adapter | Expansion | EMI board | Rectifier |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HDSW24UL swing | K41-0073-000MC (board printed K41-0094-000) | K41-0071-000 | K41-0095-000 | K41-0072-000 | K1D8387-1CC | K1D7078 | K41-0083-000 |
| HDSL24UL slide | K41-0073-000MC | K41-0071-000 | K41-0095-000 | K41-0072-000 | K1D8387-1CC | K1D7078 | K41-0083-000 |
| IHSL24UL industrial slide | K41-0073-000MC | combined, below | K41-0245-000 (power + motor drive) | K41-0072-000 | K1D8387-1CC | K1D7078 | K41-0083-000 |
| INSL24UL industrial slide | K41-0073-000MC | combined, below | K41-0244-000 (power + motor drive) | K41-0072-000 | K1D8387-1CC | K1D7078 | K41-0083-000 |
Is the motor drive actually the problem?
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Gate slows, stops partway, reverses on its own, or dies in a power cut | The batteries. These operators run off two 29-NP712 12V 7AH batteries (or the pre-wired pair K74-30762); replace both together |
| Main board lights and responds, motor does not run | This board, after checking the motor connections and the K41-0071-000 power board output |
| Motor runs rough, hums, or trips the force setting | The K41-0082-000 motor and the gear reducer first |
| Gate overruns or stops short | The encoder — K41-0092-000 APS on the HDSW24UL, K41-0051-000 APE on the HDSL24UL — not this board |
| Operator dead, no lights anywhere | Transformer, EMI board and rectifier, not this board |
| Burnt smell, scorching or a bulged capacitor on this board | This board — replace it |
After fitting
Photograph the harness connections before removing the old board and reconnect the new one the same way. Then set the limits and force, relearn every remote, re-enter timer, loop and accessory settings, and re-test every entrapment protection device to UL325 before returning the gate to service.
Fit surge protection at the same time. Storm damage is a leading cause of gate operator board failure. If this board died after a storm, the replacement is at the same risk unless the installation is protected.
