Fits openers made 1997 to current
LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman, Sears and Raynor chain drive, belt drive, screw drive and wall mount openers built from 1997 onward. These brands are built by the same manufacturer, so the build date matters more than the badge. If your opener has two sensors, one with an amber LED and one with a green LED, this is the right family.
Also sold under these numbers: 41A5034, 041A5034, 041-0136, G801CB-P, 801CB, 820CB, 2610459, S5-041A5034, 12D584-1.
Will not fit openers built before 1997, and this is not a replacement for the 041A4373A / ATS sensors.
Before you replace anything
Most sensor faults are not failed eyes. Work through this first.
| What you see | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| Both LEDs steady | Sensors are fine. The fault is elsewhere. |
| Green LED off or flickering | Misaligned, or something is in the beam. Loosen the wing nut, re-aim, retighten. |
| Green LED drops out in afternoon sun | Sun is hitting the receiving eye. Add a sunblocker bracket. |
| Both LEDs dead | Wiring. Check for a staple through the insulation, and check the terminals at the opener. |
| Opener light blinks 10 times | Sensor circuit open. Wiring or alignment, not always the eyes. |
Installation notes
- Mount both eyes no higher than 6 inches above the floor. This is a UL325 requirement.
- Low voltage wiring, normally not polarity sensitive.
- Replace both eyes together. A new eye paired with an old one is a common repeat failure.
- On some bracket styles the LED sits partly behind the bracket. The eye still works; if you want the LED visible, use the 041-0155-000 brackets.
Never bypass, tape over or disable the safety sensors. They are required by federal law on every opener built since 1993.
