Genuine LiftMaster K1D8389-1CC main control board — the UL325 board for LiftMaster’s DC pad-mount gate operators built from 2016 on. One board serves five operator families: the CSL24U / CSL24UL and RSL12U / RSL12UL slide operators, the CSW24U / CSW24UL and RSW12U / RSW12UL swing operators, and the HCTDCU / HCTDCUL overhead operator. LiftMaster now supplies it as kit K1D8389-1CCMC.
How to identify it. The label reads K1D8389-1CC or K1D8389-1CCMC. The sticker on the circuit board itself may read 001D9039-1CC (also written K1D9039-1CC) — the board’s own number, not something you can order. Either means this is the right board.
Look-alike to avoid. K1D8388-1CC is one digit away and is the UL325 board for the LA400UL / LA412UL / LA500UL arm operators. It does not fit these pad-mounts. Read the number on your board before ordering.

Which board does my operator take?
Each pad-mount family has gone through up to three boards. The one you need depends on the generation, not the model name on the cover — open the e-box and read the board.

The chain-drive RSL12V and RSW12V are a different operator and take the K001A6426-2 board, not this one.
Fitting it to an older VDC operator. LiftMaster lists this board as backward compatible with the earlier second-generation (VDC) units, but it enforces the 2016 UL325 rules: monitored entrapment protection is mandatory, including in the OPEN direction. If the site has no monitored photo eyes or edges on the open side, the gate will not run after the swap.
LiftMaster’s K1D8389-1CCU upgrade kit bundles this board with monitored photo eyes for exactly that job; the LMRRUL photo eye is sold separately.

Is the board actually the problem?
On these operators the board is the most expensive part in the e-box and often not the fault. Check these first.

After fitting
The new board arrives unprogrammed. Set the travel limits and force, relearn every remote and transmitter, and re-enter timer, loop and accessory settings. Re-test every entrapment protection device to UL325 before returning the gate to service.
Fit surge protection at the same time. Storm damage is a leading cause of gate operator board failure. If this board died after a storm, the replacement is at the same risk unless the installation is protected.

My board says 001D9039-1CC. Is this the right one? Yes — that number is on the sticker of the K1D8389-1CC.
Will it fit my CSL24VDC or RSW12VDC? Yes, with monitored entrapment protection in both directions — see the box above. Without it the gate will not run. For the older V-generation (CSL24V, CSW24V) send us a photo of the e-box before ordering.
Is it the same board on the CSL24UL, CSW24UL, RSL12UL, RSW12UL and HCTDCUL? Yes. The encoder, transformer, reset harness and cover differ by model; see the table above.
