Genuine LiftMaster K1D8389-1CCU UL325 upgrade kit (current number K1D8389-1CCUMC) — everything needed to bring a 2012–2015 LiftMaster CSL24 or CSW24 pad-mount operator up to the 2016 UL325 standard in one box: the current main board, the expansion board, monitored photo eyes and the adapter harness the older e-box needs.

Not for U or UL operators. A CSL24U, CSL24UL, CSW24U or CSW24UL already has this board and does not need the kit; order the K1D8389-1CC board on its own.
Not for the RSL12 or RSW12. LiftMaster lists this kit for the CSL24 and CSW24 only. For an RSL12VDC or RSW12VDC, order the board and a monitored photo eye separately.
Why the eyes are in the box. The UL325 board enforces monitored entrapment protection in both directions, including the OPEN side. On a 2012–2015 operator with no monitored devices, a bare board swap leaves the gate refusing to run. The kit includes the photo eyes for that reason; an edge sensor on the open side is an alternative where a photo eye cannot be mounted.
After fitting
The new board arrives unprogrammed. Set the travel limits and force, relearn every remote and transmitter, re-enter timer, loop and accessory settings, and re-test every entrapment protection device to UL325 before returning the gate to service. Then fit the UL325 upgrade label to the operator.
Common questions
My operator is a 2010 CSL24V. Will this work? LiftMaster lists the kit for units built 2012 to 2015. Send us a photo of the data plate and the e-box before ordering.
Do I need new batteries? Not as part of the kit, but a 2012–2015 operator on its original batteries is due. Two 29-NP712 12V 7AH batteries fit these operators.
