Genuine LiftMaster K1D6597-1CC main control board, with heat sink — the board for the V-generation DC pad-mount operators: the CSL24V / CSL24VH slide and the CSW24V / CSW24VH swing. LiftMaster lists it as “Control Board, CSL24V, CSW24V.”
Three generations, three boards — read yours before ordering. K1D6597-1CC (this board) runs the CSL24V, CSL24VH, CSW24V and CSW24VH. The CSL24VDC and CSW24VDC take the K1D8059-1CC. The current CSL24U/UL and CSW24U/UL take the UL325 K1D8389-1CC. The model name on the cover is not enough; open the e-box and read the board.

Thinking of upgrading instead? LiftMaster’s K1D8389-1CCU kit brings a 2012–2015 CSL24V/VH or CSW24V/VH up to the 2016 UL325 standard: the current main board, expansion board, monitored photo eyes and the adapter harness the V-generation e-box needs. It costs more than this board but ends the search for V-generation parts.
Is the board actually the problem?
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Gate slows, stops partway, reverses on its own, or dies in a power cut | The batteries. Replace both 29-NP712 at the same time |
| Operator dead, no lights on the board | Transformer, EMI board or bridge rectifier before the board: K204C0211, K76-34728, K52C0481 |
| Gate overruns or stops short | The APS encoder, not the board |
| Gate will not reset after an obstruction | The K180A0357 reset switch |
| Loops or accessories not responding | The K1D6686CC expansion board, then the loop detector |
| Burnt smell, scorching or a bulged capacitor on this board | This board — replace it |
After fitting
The new board arrives unprogrammed. Set the travel limits and force, relearn every remote and transmitter, and re-enter timer, loop and accessory settings before returning the gate to service. Re-test every entrapment protection device before handing the gate back.
Fit surge protection at the same time. Storm damage is a leading cause of gate operator board failure. If this board died after a storm, the replacement is at the same risk unless the installation is protected.
