Genuine LiftMaster LMWEKITU — the monitored wireless edge kit: an LMWETXU transmitter that mounts on the gate and wires to a LiftMaster monitored resistive edge, and an LMWERXU receiver that plugs straight into the operator's main or expansion board. It replaces the trailing cable that normally has to follow a slide gate's leading edge (or cross a swing gate's hinge), which is the part of a wired edge that fails first. Range 130 ft, NEMA 4X, UL recognised to UL 325, and the operator monitors the edge through it exactly as it would a wired one.
Kit or transmitter only? The first wireless edge on an operator needs this kit — the receiver goes on the board. Each further edge, or the second leaf of a dual gate, needs only an LMWETXU transmitter: one receiver learns up to four transmitters and each transmitter takes up to two wired edges. The CSL24ULWK is a CSL24UL with this kit already in the box.

Edges to pair it with
| Edge | Length |
|---|---|
| S504AL | 4 ft, aluminium channel |
| S505AL | 5 ft, aluminium channel — the edge supplied with most LiftMaster UL operators |
| S506AL | 6 ft, aluminium channel |
| S50 + S50E | 82 ft roll with end kit, cut to length |
Monitored means monitored. The operator pulses the edge circuit through the transmitter every cycle and will refuse to close if the edge, the transmitter or the battery drops out. That is the UL 325 (2016 / 2018) requirement, and it is why the kit only accepts LiftMaster resistive edges — a plain contact-closure edge cannot be supervised.
Pairing and battery indication
Press the learn button on the receiver (its red LED lights), then press the learn button on the transmitter; the receiver LED blinks four times to confirm. Repeat for each transmitter, up to four. The transmitter LED reports the battery on each activation: one flash is fine, two flashes is low (the operator also beeps twice), three flashes is critically low. Change both AA cells together.
Common questions
Which operators need the kit and which need only the transmitter?
Every operator needs one receiver on its board, so the first edge on any operator is the kit. Additional edges on the same operator are transmitter-only. On a dual gate with two operators, each operator needs its own receiver.
Does it work on a non-LiftMaster operator?
No. The receiver plugs into LiftMaster's burgundy control boards and the operator supervises the edge through it. There is no relay-output version.
Can I use my existing edge?
If it is a LiftMaster monitored resistive edge, yes. Older 2-wire contact edges must be replaced.
Why 130 ft?
So the transmitter on a 70 ft slide gate is in range at both ends of travel with margin. Keep the receiver antenna clear of the steel enclosure walls.
Where does the transmitter mount?
On the gate, near the edge it monitors, with the supplied bracket. Keep it out of the pinch zones and where the gate does not hit it in full travel.
