Genuine LiftMaster IHSL24UL — the heavy-duty version of LiftMaster's 24VDC brushless-DC industrial slide gate operator, rated for gates up to 5,500 lb and 90 ft on #50 chain. Continuous duty, variable speed (0.5–1 ft/s) with soft start and soft stop, battery backup as standard, Security+ 2.0 receiver built in and the monitored entrapment devices in the box. Like the INSL24UL it is designed as a drop-in retrofit for the old SL585 and SL595 AC operators, with the MRIN riser mount to bridge the footprint.
IHSL24UL or INSL24UL? The IHSL24UL is the one for gates over 2,200 lb or longer than 70 ft, and for the cantilever and industrial yard gates that punish a lighter gearbox. Under those figures the INSL24UL does the same job for less. Both share the limit system, encoder, alarm, harness kit, chain guard and idler bracket kit; the motor, gear reducer, drive board, transformer and sprockets are different.

What is in the box
Operator with batteries, LMRRUL monitored retro-reflective photo eye, S505AL 5 ft monitored resistive edge with aluminium channel, mounting hardware and manual. LiftMaster lists the #50 drive chain as a separate kit — tell us the gate length when you order and we will quote it with the operator. Remotes, keypads and loop detectors are sold separately.
UL 325 entrapment protection. LiftMaster ships one LMRRUL monitored photo eye and one S505AL 5 ft monitored edge in the box. That covers one entrapment zone. Every other pinch point on the gate — the trailing edge, the space between the gate and a post or wall, the second leaf — needs its own monitored device, and the operator only recognises LiftMaster monitored devices. Non-monitored eyes and contact-closure edges are ignored.

Common questions
Does it replace an SL585 or SL595 directly?
Yes — that is the retrofit it was designed for. The pad and wiring stay, the MRIN riser mount takes up the footprint difference, and you add the monitored photo eye and edge the old AC operator never had.
How much heavier a gate than the INSL24UL?
Two and a half times: 5,500 lb against 2,200 lb, and 90 ft against 70 ft. The price difference is small next to a gearbox that is working at its limit every cycle.
Is myQ built in?
The operator is myQ-ready; the connection comes from the 828LM gateway, sold separately. It also reports into a CAPXLV-series or CAP2D access control system.
Can I run it on solar?
No. The installation manual rates the IHSL24UL for line power only. The INSL24UL allows a limited solar input; for a solar site talk to us first.
Three-phase power at the site?
Fit the 3PHCONV transformer kit and feed it from 208, 240, 460 or 575 VAC.
