Genuine LiftMaster K1D8052-1CC main control board — the second-generation board for LiftMaster’s linear actuator (arm-type) swing gate operators: the LA500 and LA500DC, the LA400DC and the LA412DC. LiftMaster lists it as “Main Board, LA500, LA400, LA412.” It sits in the plastic control box between the original metal-box boards and the current UL325 K1D8388-1CC.
Not for the U or UL models. The LA400U/UL, LA412U/UL and LA500U/UL take the K1D8388-1CC. Open the control box and read the number on the board; the model name on the arm is not enough.

Is the board actually the problem?

After fitting
Photograph the harness connections before removing the old board and reconnect the new one the same way. Then set the limits and force, relearn every remote, re-enter timer, loop and accessory settings, and re-test every entrapment protection device to UL325 before returning the gate to service.
Fit surge protection at the same time. Storm damage is a leading cause of gate operator board failure. If this board died after a storm, the replacement is at the same risk unless the installation is protected.
