The DoorKing 1834 is a professional-grade telephone entry and access control system for larger residential and commercial properties. It stores up to 3,000 names and phone numbers, controls two entry points, and can be programmed and monitored from anywhere over the internet.

Common questions
How many residents can it hold? 3,000 names and numbers. Size for growth — running out of directory capacity means replacing the unit, not upgrading it.
Can I manage it remotely? Yes. PC programmable over DKS Cloud, modem or RS-232, with the Remote Account Manager software. Add and revoke codes without visiting the site.
Does it need a phone line? No. Cellular, VoIP, ethernet and wireless are all supported.
How many gates can it control? Two entry points — typically a vehicle gate and a pedestrian gate or door.
Does it do video? No. The 1834 is audio telephone entry. A CCTV camera kit can be added for a separate camera feed, but if you want video calling see the 2112 eVolve.
Is it ADA compliant? An ADA handset is available as an accessory. Tell us the requirement and we will spec it.
Surface, flush or wall mount? All three are available — specify when ordering. Flush mount needs a rough-in box built into the structure, so decide before the masonry goes up.
Will it work with my existing gate operator? Yes. Two dry contact relays, accepted by any gate operator whatever the brand.
