Genuine DoorKing 4502-009 control board — the circuit board for DoorKing’s older 600 series swing gate operators: the 601, 602, 605, 610, 615, 620, 625 and 630. These are the generation before the 6050, and many are still in service.
Not the 6050, 6100 or 6300. Those take the 4502-010. The 4502-009 has no date-of-manufacture split; one version fits all eight models. Check the model on the cabinet label before ordering.

Is the board actually the problem?
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Operator dead, no board lights | Incoming power at the terminals and the fuse before the board |
| Powers up but ignores every input — remotes, loops, keypad | The board |
| Board lights but the motor will not run | Motor, capacitor and the terminal strip before the board |
| Gate opens but will not close | A loop detector or photo eye holding it open, not the board |
| Failed after a storm | Surge damage — the board, plus the MOV / varistor, which usually shows heat damage too |
| Burnt smell, scorching or a bulged capacitor on the board | The board — replace it |
After fitting
The new board arrives unprogrammed. Set the limits and force, relearn every remote and transmitter, re-enter timer, loop and accessory settings, and re-test every entrapment protection device before returning the gate to service.
Fit surge protection at the same time. Storm damage is a leading cause of gate operator board failure. If this board died after a storm, the replacement is at the same risk unless the installation is protected.
