DoorKing 6500 Swing Gate Operator Replacement Parts
Genuine DoorKing replacement parts for the 6500 swing gate operator, covering both the 6500-380 (1/2 HP, 115V) and the 6500-384 (1 HP, 115V), both Rev C. The two builds are nearly identical, so they are listed together with a quantity column for each. Click any part number to go straight to that product page.
Circuit Board — the most replaced part on the 6500
4405-010 — PCB Gate Operator
This is the control board for the 6500 (both 1/2 HP and 1 HP), and the same board is used on the 6550, the 9000 and the 1175. If the operator is dead after a storm, powers up but ignores every input, or behaves erratically, this is the part.
- 4405-018 — operators manufactured January 2016 or later (current production)
- 4405-012 — operators manufactured prior to January 2016
You do not order those numbers separately. Open the 4405-010 product page and choose your Date of Manufacture from the dropdown — that selects the correct board. If you are unsure, read the number printed on the board currently fitted; that is the definitive answer, and it will end in -012 or -018.
Before replacing the board, check the 4001-093 MOV assembly — a surge that kills a board usually takes the varistor with it, and fitting a new board without replacing the MOV invites the same failure again.
1/2 HP vs 1 HP. The 1/2 HP uses the 2600-129 motor with a 2600-102 run capacitor, 2600-875 clamp and 6500-121 plate; the 1 HP uses the 2600-162 motor and has no external capacitor. The hub assembly also differs — 6500-400 on the 1/2 HP, 6500-410 on the 1 HP. Everything else is shared. A dash in a quantity column means the part is not used on that build.
The 6500 is built from sub-assemblies. The hub, main arm, magnet arm and turret cover each have their own drawing and their own parts, all listed below. You can order the complete sub-assembly or just the worn piece inside it.
