Infinity RFID S2W-001DM is the dual-mode Wiegand interface module for the Infinity Carina SC1000W long-range UHF RFID reader family, including the SC1000W-UL, SC1000W-ULE and the LiftMaster-branded LMSC1000. The reader sees the tag; this module turns that read into a standard 26-bit Wiegand output (D0, D1, GND) your access controller already understands, and gives you a relay output for direct gate or barrier control. “DM” is dual mode — one module covers both UL and non-UL installations, so you no longer need to stock the UL and standard versions separately.
Do I need this module?
- Replacing a failed or lightning-damaged S2W on a working Carina / LMSC1000 install → yes, this is the part. It supersedes the earlier S2W-001 and S2W-001-3M.
- Connecting a Carina reader to a Wiegand access controller (DoorKing, LiftMaster, Linear, Keri, HID-style panels) → yes.
- Reader shows power and beeps on a tag but the controller never sees a credential → check the module and its D0/D1 run before replacing the reader.
- Buying a complete new reader kit → the SC1000W-ULE kit ships with its module; you do not need a second one.
What it does
- Converts Carina tag reads to 26-bit Wiegand for any standard access control panel.
- Reads both Infinity and 3M-format UHF tags, so existing tag populations carry over.
- Relay output (DC terminal) for direct operator or barrier control where no panel is used.
- Arming-loop input so the reader only fires when a vehicle is present.
- DIP-switch Wiegand re-transmit delay, 0–15 seconds, to stop a parked vehicle re-triggering the gate.
- Antenna read-range adjustment and a switchable read beeper.
- Seven status LEDs — power, loop, setup/error, data to and from the reader, Wiegand out, relay out — so faults can be traced at the module without a meter.
