TransCore Encompass 4 Flex RFID reader, model 10-4009-024. A fixed-mount UHF reader for gated communities, parking facilities and vehicle access control. It reads three tag protocols — ATA, SeGo and 6C (EPC, ISO 18000-63) — and communicates over RS-232 or RS-422.

Which tags will it read?
Tags using the ATA, SeGo or 6C (EPC) protocol. TransCore builds the Encompass 4 Flex in several protocol versions — eGo and IAG tags need a different model. If you are adding a reader to an existing site, check the protocol your current tags use before ordering, or send us the tag part number and we will confirm.
Encompass 4 Flex or 10-4002-024?
Both read ATA, SeGo and 6C tags. The 10-4002-024 Encompass 4 reader communicates over RS-232 only; the Encompass 4 Flex adds RS-422, which runs reliably over longer cable distances between the reader and the access control panel.
