Ramset RAM 302 DC Swing Gate Operator Parts

Ramset RAM 302 DC Swing Gate Operator Replacement Parts

Genuine Ramset replacement parts for the RAM 302 DC (DC RAM 302s) swing gate operator — the 24 VDC brushless, battery-backup version of the RAM 302 gate opener. Use the diagram and the tables below to identify your part, then click any part number to order. The RAM 302 DC shares its chassis and mechanical layout with the RAM 302 AC, so most wear parts are the same; the motor, control boards, transformer and battery hardware are DC-specific.

Ramset RAM 302 DC swing gate operator replacement parts diagram with callout numbers
About this diagram: Ramset has not yet published a DC exploded view, so the drawing above is the factory RAM 302 parts diagram. The RAM 302 DC uses the same layout, and the Ref numbers in the tables match the callouts on this drawing. DC-only electrical parts (battery, DC driver board, bridge rectifier) are not shown and are marked —. Callouts on the drawing that are not listed below are AC-only parts — find those on the RAM 302 (AC) parts page.

Common Ramset RAM 302 DC Faults and the Parts That Fix Them

Operator chirping or running on battery only

The DC Alert chirp means the operator has lost AC supply and is running down its batteries. Check the incoming circuit and the rocker switches (800-60-10) first, then the transformer (800-60-07) and the bridge rectifier (800-60-35) that feed the charging circuit.

Dead after a power outage

If the gate opener will not run once AC power is restored, the batteries (800-70-00) have usually been discharged past recovery — replace them as a pair. If fresh batteries will not hold a charge, test the charging supply (transformer and rectifier above).

Boards power up but the motor will not run

Check the clamp release (800-75-50) has not been left disengaged after manual operation — the cheapest fix on this list. Otherwise test the DC driver board (800-65-05) before the brushless motor (800-04-04); the driver fails more often than the motor.

Gate overruns its open or close point

Worn limit components let the operator lose track of gate position. Inspect the limit switches (800-20-05) and the 1 3/8" limit cams (800-48-01), then the limit switch cam hub (800-70-26) and roll pin (800-70-65) if the cams no longer track the gate.

No response to remotes or keypads

If a known-good remote gets no response, check the receiver wiring first, then the logic board (800-65-01).
