Ramset RAM 100 DC Slide Gate Operator Parts

Ramset RAM 100 DC Slide Gate Operator Replacement Parts

Genuine Ramset replacement parts for the RAM 100 DC battery-backed slide gate operator. Find your part number in the tables below and click it to order. Assembly breakdowns follow the main list, so you can buy a complete assembly or just the one component inside it that failed.

The RAM 100 DC is a brushless DC chain-drive slide gate opener rated to 1,800 lbs and 35 feet of travel, running a 1.4 Nm 24 VDC 13 amp motor on two 12 volt batteries with AC charging. Continuous duty. If you know it as a Ramset DC RAM 100 gate opener rather than an operator, it is the same unit.

This is the DC operator, not the AC one. Ramset builds AC and DC versions of the RAM 100 and they are different machines. The DC unit runs a 24 volt brushless motor off a battery pack with a separate Logic board and DC Driver board. If your operator has a single 115VAC motor and one Intelligate or ETL board, you need the AC RAM 100 parts page instead. The model and voltage are on the label inside the cover.

One BOM, three models. Ramset publishes a single bill of materials covering the DC RAM 100, DC RAM 1000 and DC RAM 5500. The table below is filtered to the RAM 100 DC only.

Driver board part number. The factory BOM prints the DC driver board as 800-65-04. That number does not appear on the current Ramset price list and we do not stock it. The board Ramset supplies today is 800-65-05, ETL DC Driver, which is what is linked below. Send us a photo of your existing board if you want it confirmed before ordering.

Limit shaft assembly. The BOM prints 800-75-72 for the RAM 100. Ramset lists that number as an older-models part and supplies 800-75-75 for the current RAM 100 AC/DC unit — that is the assembly linked below.

Common Ramset RAM 100 DC Faults and the Parts That Fix Them

Most calls we take about the DC operators come down to one of the following. Work through them in the order given — the cheap checks come first on purpose.

Gate will not run and the unit is chirping

A chirp means the DC Alert or Low Battery Alarm is active — the operator is on battery and the pack is going flat. Check that AC power is present at the transformer and that the CHARGING LED on the DC Driver board is lit. If AC is good and the pack still will not hold, the batteries are the wear item and are replaced in pairs.

Parts: 800-70-00 · 800-60-07 · 800-60-35

Gate opens by itself during a power cut

That is Fail Safe behaviour, set by dip switch B7 on the DC Driver board. Down is Fail Safe (opens), up is Fail Secure (closes). No parts needed — but if the unit drops to low-battery mode often, the charging circuit or the batteries are the real problem.

Parts: 800-70-00 · 800-60-35

Motor does not turn, or runs rough and stalls

The brushless motor is position-controlled by Hall sensors wired back to the DC Driver board. Check the MOTOR 1 and MOTOR 2 LEDs on the driver. If they light but the motor does not turn cleanly, suspect the motor or its Hall harness before the board.

Parts: 800-04-04 · 800-65-05 · 800-65-01

Gate overshoots or stops short of the limit

Travel is set by adjustment nuts on the threaded limit shaft, and the DC unit also stores travel via the SLOW LEARN routine. Reset the nuts first, then re-run SLOW LEARN. If the nuts walk on their own, the shaft assembly is worn.

Parts: 800-75-75 · 800-20-50 · 800-20-00 · 800-52-27

Chain slack, jumping the sprocket, or the gate judders

Check both idler wheels — the UHMW wheels wear oval and stop taking up slack. Then the drive sprocket for hooked teeth. Fitting new chain to a worn sprocket will not last.

Parts: 800-75-30 · 800-73-70 · 800-06-22 · 800-75-65

Foot pedal will not release, or the gate will not re-engage

The pedal acts on the clutch release assembly through the release fork. The fork, its return spring and the 4-pin disc inside the clutch are what wear. The operator will not respond until the gate is properly re-engaged.

Parts: 800-75-21 · 800-24-22 · 800-22-02 · 800-20-20

None of this is a substitute for a service call on a gate that is binding, dragging, or riding badly on its rollers or track. A mechanical problem in the gate will destroy whichever part you fit.

Other Ramset Gate Operator Parts

The Ramset DC slide operators share most of their mechanical parts — chassis, clutch, limit shaft, idler wheels and chain kit — with the AC versions of the same models. What differs is the motor, the boards, the transformer and the battery pack. If you are not certain which unit you have, check the label inside the cover.

Ramset part numbers all begin 800- and are stamped or labelled on most major components. Some hardware items inside the assemblies are priced on request — add them to your cart or call and we will confirm current pricing and availability before the order ships.
