Elite Q018 — 1/2 HP motor (LiftMaster K20-1050B-1RL). The current-style 1/2 horsepower replacement motor from LiftMaster for the Elite SL3000 slide, CSW200 swing and HCT Hercules overhead gate operators. Elite part number Q018; LiftMaster part number K20-1050B-1RL — the same motor under either number.

When a motor fails the operator hums without moving, trips the breaker, or cuts out on thermal overload. Check the capacitor first — a failed capacitor gives the same symptoms for a fraction of the cost.

    Good replacement

    This motor is a little bit smaller than the old one. It has several improvements. There is no reset button--it does it on its own. Also the wiring is easier to connect.
    Only problem was condition upon arrival. Although the box was undamaged the mounting was bent. Luckily my husband has the ability to bend it (he does metal working). The motor came quickly and works great!

    Elite Gate Operator Motor

    The motor was an exact replacement and appears to be a quality product with one very important improvement; an automatic reset, which means that you do not have to remove the outer housing in order to access the reset button. My old motor would not reset so I ordered the new one; after the replacement was done and everything was working correctly, I hit the reset button with a bit of force and the button clicked, old motor works again. I guess I have a replacement motor if I should ever need one.
