Miller Edge has replaced the MC271 with the MC22, the direct functional replacement. If you are servicing an existing installation built around an MC271, the MC22 will do the same job.

The MC271 sensing edge was custom manufactured to exact specifications for length and cord location. When touched lightly or at an angle, it sends an immediate electrical signal to the operator controls to stop and/or reverse operation. Made with a vinyl wrapping and an extruded T, it is designed to slide into an applicable door's bottom retainer. The exterior is highly flexible and conforms to irregularities in the floor.

Monitored or Non-Monitored?
Monitored edges are required for UL 325 listed operators built after August 29, 2010 that have a monitored circuit. For older units and most other applications, a non-monitored edge is used.
The designator sets the resistance the operator expects to see — match it to your operator, not to the edge. See the full designator guide for the T1 through T6 reference table.
