Description

Genuine Linear ACP00942 control board — the replacement main board for the Linear AE-100 commercial single-door telephone entry system, supplied with the LCD display built in. It restores the keypad, display, dialing and door-relay functions of the AE-100 in one part.

How to identify it. The AE-100 has one main board, printed ACP00942, behind the faceplate. If the display is dead or scrambled, the keypad does nothing, or the unit will not dial out with the phone line confirmed live, this is the usual part.

Board only. The faceplate, enclosure and keypad are not included.

Is the board actually the problem?

Symptom	Check first
Display dead, no lights	The transformer and the power wiring to the unit before the board
Display works but the unit will not dial out	The phone line at the terminals — confirm dial tone with a handset before blaming the board
Keypad dead, display alive	The keypad ribbon connection, then the board
Dials and talks, but the door relay never fires	The relay wiring and the strike or maglock power supply, then the board
Display scrambled or partly dead	The board — the display is part of it
Failed after a storm	Surge damage on the phone line or power — the board, and fit phone-line surge protection with the replacement

After fitting

Your programming does not carry over. The resident directory, entry codes, talk time and relay settings all live on the board and must be re-entered on the new one. Write the current programming down, or print it, before you remove the old board.

Common questions

Does this fit the AE-500 or AE-1000? No. The ACP00942 is the AE-100 board only.
