Lost my remote for my old Liftmaster opener. My 1984 unit has 8 "dim" switches. The remote instructions says it has 9 "dim" switches. The instructions say the remote will work for units with 8 or 9. But the instructions do not say what to do with the 9th switch? I placed it in the "0" position and it works.

After trying several big box store remote control unit for my older model garage door opener and finding that none of them worked. I came upon Gatehouse Supplies. I sent pictures of my old remote control, they responded promptly. They recommended a LiftMaster 61LM model. Got the product within two days. Works perfectly. Kudos to Gatehouse Supplies. Parents just bought an older home with a garage door. They didn't get a remote, your rep. worked with the information I gave them and found a remote. I ordered the remote and got it set. Mom liked to have fainted when she pushed the button and the garage door worked. I just ordered them a 2nd remote. Thank you for your help!!!
