EMX PATRIOT-L long-range UHF RFID reader. Reads windshield, headlamp and hang tags at 18–25 ft for HOA, community, parking and commercial gates, with a linear-polarized 10 dBi antenna. It outputs Wiegand, RS-232 or a relay contact and can store up to 500 tags to run a gate on its own. Configured over RS-232.
PATRIOT-L or PATRIOT-E? The L uses a linear-polarized antenna, which reaches a little farther when tags all face the same way (windshield tags in one lane). The PATRIOT-E uses a circular-polarized antenna, which reads more reliably when tag angles vary (hang tags, mixed vehicles).

Match the reader to your tags. A long-range reader only reads the tag type it was built for. Check the tags your site already uses before ordering, and have your gate company set the reader up with your controller.
