DoorKing 1812-081 Classic Telephone Entry Intercom — Surface Mount
The 1812-081 is the surface-mount Classic model in DoorKing's 1812 range — the residential gate intercom that uses your existing telephone as the handset. A visitor at the gate presses the button, your phone rings with a distinctive double ring, and you press a digit to let them in. No second phone line, no separate intercom handset in the house.
It also runs in intercom mode on a PBX or KSU system, which makes it a straightforward door control for a small business.

| 2112-081 | DoorKing's video entry system — camera built in, connects over cellular or ethernet |
Common questions
Do I need a separate phone line at the gate? No — that is the point of the 1812. It connects in series with your existing residential line, and you answer the gate on the phone you already have. If you have no landline at all, cellular and VoIP options are available.
How many people can it call? Three preprogrammed numbers. If you need more, look at the Access Plus, which holds 27.
How many entry codes? 50, four digits each, and you can put them on time zones so a code only works when you want it to.
Can I use it on my mobile? The Classic dials the numbers you program, which can include a cell phone.
