Genuine Linear HAE00040 control board — the combined logic, MegaCode receiver and torque control board for Linear's AC residential garage door openers: LDO33, LDO50, LSO50 and LCO75. It is the current replacement for the HAE00039 and the earlier HAE00003; the wiring and mounting are the same, so it goes straight into an opener that shipped with either. Receives Linear MegaCode 318 MHz remotes and keypads.
Put the opener on a surge protector when you fit the new board. Lightning and utility surges are the most common reason a garage door opener logic board is replaced, and a new board on the same unprotected outlet is at the same risk. A plug-in surge protector rated for motors is a small cost next to a second board.

Is the board the problem?
The board is blamed for more than it causes. Work through this first:

Common questions
My old board says HAE00039. Is this the right one?
Yes. Linear superseded the HAE00039 with the HAE00040; same connectors, same mounting.
Do my remotes need reprogramming?
Yes — the codes live on the board. Press the learn button and re-learn each remote and keypad; five minutes.
What is the torque control?
The board sets the opening and closing force. Set it after the door is balanced, not before, or the opener will reverse on a heavy door.
