DoorKing 605 & 610 Swing Gate Operator Parts

Replacement parts for the DoorKing 605 and 610 swing gate operators — belt-driven, clutch-protected units that DKS built through the 1990s and into the 2000s. Many are still running. The two models share most of their drivetrain, so the parts below cover both.

Master or slave?

These operators were sold in two configurations for dual-gate installations.

If you are troubleshooting a dual-gate installation and one leaf will not move, check which unit is which before assuming a board fault — a slave with no board is normal, not broken.

Supersession — check your serial number first

DoorKing changed several parts during production. If your operator predates the change, the old number will not be available and you need the replacement. Serial ranges are from the factory drawing.

Clutch

The clutch protects the drivetrain by slipping under excessive load. A clutch that slips in normal operation is worn or out of adjustment; one that never slips is not protecting anything.

Common questions

What is the difference between the 605 and the 610? They share most of the drivetrain — baseplate, shaft assembly, board support bracket and clutch parts are common to both. Order by the number on the part.

My gate operator hums but does not move. Check the 2600-102 capacitor before anything else. A failed capacitor produces exactly this symptom and costs a fraction of a motor.

One of my two gates will not move. If it is the slave (0610-081), remember it has no control board of its own — it takes commands from the master. Check the master and the interconnect before condemning the slave.

The operator is noisy after a rebuild. The factory drawing calls for resetting the shims and the set collar whenever the bearing is changed. Skipping that is the usual cause.

I need a pulley for a pre-1999 operator. Check your serial number. From 99-12-1 the pulley, shaft and keyway all changed together — see the supersession table above.

Where is my serial number? On the operator data plate inside the enclosure. You need it to use the supersession table.

Is the 605 or 610 still made? No — these are long out of production, which is why parts availability matters. We keep the common wear items in stock and can source most of the rest.
