The Linear LDCO863B is a smart WiFi garage door opener head unit with integrated battery backup and app control — the motor only, with no rail, chain or sprocket. It replaces a failed head unit on an existing Linear installation and reuses your current rail.
Battery backup is built in, and it meets California state requirements. That matters: California and Washington both require battery backup on residential garage door openers. The LDCO863B has it integrated — no separate unit to buy or find room for.

Replacing an older Linear opener?
The LDCO863B mounts to the same rails as Linear's earlier head units, so if you are replacing an LDO50, LDO33, LSO50, LCO75, LDCO800, LDCO801, LDCO850 or LDCO852, this fits — and adds app control and battery backup at the same time.
Your existing MegaCode remotes carry over. Check the rail first: a new head unit on a bent or worn rail will not last.
About Linear and Linear Pro Access

Common questions
Does it come with a rail? No. Head unit only — no rail, chain or drive sprocket. It reuses your existing rail.
Does it have battery backup? Yes, integrated, and it meets California requirements. No separate unit needed.
Does it work with myQ? No. myQ is Chamberlain and LiftMaster. This uses the Linear Smart app, which is Linear's own system.
Do I need WiFi? For the app, yes — WiFi and an internet connection. The opener works normally on the remote and wall station without it.
Will my existing remotes work? Yes, if they are Linear MegaCode. An MTS3 remote is included as well.
Do I have to change the bulb? No. It has three long-life LED panels, 4,100 lumens total, dimmable.
How many people can have app access? Up to 10 authorised users, each with custom permissions, and you can schedule door and light operation.
