Genuine LiftMaster CPSUN4G heavy-duty monitored through-beam photo eyes — the NEMA 4 version of LiftMaster's Commercial Protector System: an emitter and receiver pair in sealed housings that reverses a commercial door or stops a gate when the beam is broken. Up to 45 ft between the eyes, indoor or outdoor, monitored so the operator knows the eyes are connected and working. Black housing; the same device LiftMaster previously sold as the yellow CPS-UN4, covered by the same manual.
CPSUN4G, CPS-U or reflective? The CPS-U is the standard eye shipped with Logic 5.0 and medium-duty operators — NEMA 1, indoor, 30 ft. Choose the CPSUN4G when the eyes see washdown, weather or a wide opening (to 45 ft). Where you can only wire one side of the opening, the CPS-RPEN4 reflective eye needs power on one side only.

Common questions
Is this the replacement for the CPS-UN4?
Yes — LiftMaster documents the CPS-UN4 and CPSUN4G in one manual. The CPSUN4G is the current black-housing version.
The door will not close and the operator shows a sensor fault.
Check alignment first: both LEDs steady means aligned. Then check the lens for dirt or sun on the receiver, then the wire run. A monitored eye that is unplugged or shorted stops the door by design.
Do I need both eyes?
Yes — sold as the emitter and receiver pair.
