DoorKing 1812-092 Access Plus — Flush Mount Stainless Steel
The 1812-092 is the flush-mount stainless steel version of DoorKing's 1812 Access Plus telephone entry system. It is the top of the residential 1812 range: PC programmable, IP addressable, and able to control up to seven access points from one unit.
Where the Classic and Plus models are programmed at the keypad, the Access Plus is managed from a computer — add a code, revoke a code or pull an entry log without walking to the gate.

Flush mount — plan this before the mason arrives
Flush mounting sets the unit into a pillar or wall for a clean finish with nothing protruding. It needs a rough-in box built into the structure, which is straightforward on new construction and a demolition job as a retrofit. If your entrance is already built and you did not allow for it, the surface-mount 1812-090 is the same system in a housing that bolts on.
Rough-in box: 1812-155. Position the unit so a driver can reach it from the car window, and far enough back that a vehicle is clear of the gate swing.
Connecting it — you do not need a landline
The Access Plus takes voice and data over cellular, VoIP or a traditional phone line. Most installations now skip the copper.
| Option | What you need |
|---|---|
| Cellular | 1800-081 cellular voice and data for Access Plus, or 1800-080 |
| VoIP | 1815-578 VoIP adapter kit |
| Landline | Nothing extra — connect the existing line |
DKS runs a cellular service and the DKS IM Server to support the connected features. Those are ongoing subscriptions through DoorKing rather than something bought here — call us and we will explain what a given configuration needs before you order the hardware.
Access Plus Account Manager software
Programming is done through DoorKing's Access Plus Account Manager, a free download from DKS. From it you can add and remove entry codes, set time zones and holidays, program additional access points, and pull activity reports — over your LAN, over the internet, or on a direct connection.
This is the practical difference between Access Plus and the other 1812 models. If someone moves out and you need their code gone that afternoon, you do it from a laptop.
Common questions
How many numbers does it hold? 27. That is a family home or a small shared driveway. For a larger community you want the commercial range — see DoorKing commercial phone entry, where capacity runs to 1,000 and 3,000 numbers.
Can I control more than one gate? Yes. The main entrance plus up to six additional access points, using cards, transmitters or keypads.
Do I need a phone line at the gate? No. Cellular or VoIP both work.
Can visitors reach me on my mobile? Yes. Program a cell number and the call box dials it — you can talk to a visitor and open the gate from anywhere.
Is there a monthly cost? If you use DKS cellular service there is a subscription. VoIP over your own internet connection has none. Ask us before you decide — it changes the running cost significantly.
Will it open my existing gate operator? Yes. It outputs a dry contact that any gate operator will accept, whatever the brand.
Can I add a camera? The 1812 takes a colour camera kit — 1812-145. If you want video from the start, look at the 2112-083 flush mount video entry instead.
