    I had a torsion spring break caused our Garage door to slam down which in turn caused our garage door opener to break. When searching for a possible replacement I found my opener and was going to purchase that. But as I was looking at it I saw one of those windows at the bottom saying customers also bought this, and it was the gears that were stripped out when door slammed shut. I didn't even know I could buy just those parts. So I clicked on the gears, saw they were the same and bought them and it fixed my garage door opener for 20 bucks instead of hundreds

    Got white/blond powder in the drive gears? If you need this kit to replace worn parts, you may have another problem. If your door is properly balanced, these gears generally should not wear out. Before replacing these gears, disconnect the door so you can manually open/close it. You should be able to easily open and close a properly balanced door with one hand. If door is heavy, you might have a broken spring that took out your gear set. The gears are not cheap, they are sacrificial, as in they are a weak link intended to go first and protect other components. Don't forget to fully lube rollers, tracks, hinges, and drives.

    Only needed the big gear

    While I only needed the big large gear, I ordered the complete kit for less than shipping would be is I had needed additonal parts.

    The fit was/is near perfect. Rubs on the outside of the surrounding case but only slightly. I well greased it to compensate.
