Older Chamberlain garage door opener stripped gears, replace or repair? Not only did Gatehouse have a parts kit they had a great video as to how to accomplish the repair.
@2 hours later, I took my time, opener works like new.

Took about an hour to install new shaft. Video was very helpful. Quick shipping. Saved a couple hundred by buying parts here and installing myself.

Excellent product, great instructions, prompt service. Oops: reinstall the motor first, get an extra C clip if equipped. It took an hour to find mine. Get the kit, not just the gears.

I only replaced the shaft and sprocket. I did not replace the worm gear because it was still good. This allowed me to repair in place without removing the motor. The whole job only took 40 minutes from start to finish.

One of the easiest repairs I've ever done. The online instruction video was very helpful. The experience of doing it myself and saving I don't know how much, rather than calling a repair person, was excellant.
