Genuine Ramset replacement parts for the RAM 3100 swing gate operator, listed against the factory parts diagram above. Find the reference number on the drawing, match it in the table below and click the part number to order. Assembly breakdowns follow the main list, so you can buy a complete assembly or just the one component inside it that failed.
The RAM 3100 is a commercial and industrial swing gate opener. If you know it as a Ramset R3100 gate opener rather than an operator, you are in the right place — same unit, same parts.
One diagram, three models. Ramset publishes a single parts drawing for the RAM 3000, RAM 3100 and RAM 3200. The table below is filtered to the RAM 3100 only, so every part listed here fits your unit. The one part that differs between the three is the motor: the RAM 3100 takes the 3/4 HP 120VAC motor at reference 6.

Most calls we take about the RAM 3100 come down to one of the following. Work through them in the order given — the cheap checks come first on purpose.
Start with the two limit switches (ref 17), then the 1/2" limit cams (ref 20), the plastic limit hub (ref 34) and the #35 limit chain (ref 22). On this series the limit drive is a chain, so a stretched or jumped limit chain throws the whole adjustment out.
Parts: 800-20-05 · 800-48-02 · 800-70-25 · 800-52-22 · 800-54-46
The clamp release (ref 42) holds the arm to the output shaft. The lever handle, the front and back clamps and the clamp arm bracket all wear — see the breakdown below.
Parts: 800-75-50 · 800-28-35 · 800-50-00 · 800-50-01 · 800-54-20
Check the 4L-180 drive belt (ref 13) and its two pulleys (refs 11 and 12) first, then the #40 drive chain (ref 21) and its sprockets (refs 9 and 10). The two gear reducers (refs 3 and 4) are the expensive parts — rule out the belt and chain before ordering either.
Parts: 800-10-07 · 800-08-40 · 800-08-45 · 800-52-01 · 800-06-06 · 800-06-07 · 800-02-00 · 800-02-07
Work back from the power in: transformer (ref 25), then the control board (ref 28) and its edge connector (ref 29). If the wall button works but the remote does not, it is the radio receiver terminal (ref 36).
Parts: 800-60-00 · 800-62-00 · 800-64-00 · 800-70-55
The electronics sit in a metal box (ref 24) behind a Lexan cover (ref 30), under the polyethylene cover (ref 15). A cracked cover or a missing access door is the usual entry point.
Parts: 800-56-00 · 800-66-03 · 800-14-05 · 800-75-05
None of this is a substitute for a service call on a gate that is binding, dragging or hitting its posts. A mechanical problem in the gate itself will destroy whichever part you replace.
The RAM 3100 shares its chassis, arm assembly and control components with the rest of the 3000 series. If you are not certain which unit you have, check the label inside the cover — the motor is the main difference between them.
Ramset part numbers all begin 800- and are stamped or labelled on most major components. If the number on your part has worn off, match it visually against the diagram above and confirm the reference number rather than going by the description alone — several Ramset gate openers use similar looking parts in different sizes.
