Genuine LiftMaster replacement parts for the KPW5 and KPW250 wireless keypads — the battery-powered Security+ 2.0 keypads that open a gate or door without running wire to the entry point. Use the diagram above to find the key number for the part you need, then click any part number in the table below.
KPW5 or KPW250? The KPW5 is the charcoal residential unit holding up to 5 codes; the KPW250 is the silver commercial unit holding up to 250. They are otherwise the same keypad, and the rear housing and keys fit both.
Not working after a while outdoors? These run on a 9V battery behind the battery cover. Change the battery before ordering anything — a flat battery is by far the most common cause of a dead keypad.
The battery and battery cover are not sold separately. Only the rear housing and the replacement keys are available as service parts; if the front housing or keypad itself has failed, the unit is replaced rather than repaired.
| Symptom | Usual cause | Parts to check |
|---|---|---|
| Keypad completely dead | Flat 9V battery | Change the battery first — a standard 9V |
| Works intermittently, worse in cold | Battery near end of life | Fit a fresh 9V battery |
| Water inside, corrosion on the contacts | Rear housing cracked or seal failed | K093A0763 rear housing |
| Keys lost or the lock will not turn | Replacement keys needed | K107A0031 replacement keys |
| Codes accepted but the gate does not move | Not the keypad — check the operator receiver | Verify the operator responds to a remote first |
| Buttons unresponsive with a good battery | Front housing and keypad assembly | Replace the unit — KPW5 or KPW250 |
