    This is my third Linear transmitter remote for the same garage door receiver. I have had good workings from the first two for 20 years this June 2012. Each lasted about 10 years. I guess you can drop it only so many times. I had confidence that the third transmitter would work fine. I set the code and tried the remote. Nothing. Check the code again, try, - nothing. Swap batteries, nothing. Stand directly underneath, nothing. Touch the remote to the antenna. nothing. The remote worked once in the first 20 tries. It got better. The next 15 tries got 1 activation. Then one out of 10. Then 1 out of two and then 5 out of 6. As if the two were getting to know each other. Now it works about 19 out of 20 times just like the others did before. Great price through Gatehouse. I recommend it / them.
