LiftMaster LA500PKGUL-Dual — Double Swing Gate Operator Kit
The LiftMaster LA500PKGUL-Dual is the complete kit for automating a pair of swing gates. It includes two LA500 linear actuator arms and one control box, so both leaves open and close together from a single system.
Each arm handles a gate up to 18 ft long or 1,200 lbs. MyQ® smartphone control, Security+ 2.0® radio and battery backup are all built in, and the monitored safety photo eye required by UL325 is included.
Only have one gate? Order the LA500PKGUL single kit instead — one arm and one control box, and you can add a second arm later.

LA500 Error Codes — Dual Gate Systems
On a dual system the arms are numbered: Arm 1 is the primary, Arm 2 the secondary. Most codes come in pairs so you can tell which arm needs attention.

|---|---|
| 31 | Control board internal failure – disconnect power 15 seconds and reboot; replace board if it persists |
| 32 / 33 | Linear drive disengaged, Arm 1 / Arm 2 – disengage then re-engage the arm, check wiring |
| 34 | Absolute position encoder error – check cable connections, reprogram limits |
| 35 | Max run time exceeded – check for an obstruction, reprogram limits |
| 38 / 39 | Hard stop limit, Arm 1 / Arm 2 – limit set too tight against a hard stop, re-adjust |
| 40 / 41 / 42 | Battery faults – check you have not fitted a 12V battery on a 24V system or the reverse |
| 43 / 44 / 45 | Loop errors, exit / shadow / interrupt – check loop wiring for a short or open |
| 51 / 52 | Pass-point not detected, Arm 1 / Arm 2 – check yellow pass-point wiring, reprogram limits |
| 54 | Wireless second operator communication error – check power to the second operator, then re-learn it |
| 60 | Minimum monitored entrapment device not installed – check the photo eye connections |
| 61–68 | Eye or edge held over 3 minutes – check alignment and obstructions |
| 80 / 81 | Input communication fault to the secondary control box – check connections between the boards |
| 91 / 92 | Force reversal, Arm 1 / Arm 2 – check for obstruction and that the arm is engaged and free |
| 93 / 94 | RPM or stall reversal, Arm 1 / Arm 2 – check wiring and arm engagement |
| 99 | Normal operation – no action needed |
