LiftMaster 2100Z standard-duty weld-on gate hinge (Guardian 2100.200) — flat mount, both sides, zinc plated, rated 1,000 lb per pair. Sold as a pair: two hinges, enough to hang one gate leaf. Part of the Guardian hinge line LiftMaster took over in 2016 (Guardian has made gate hinges since 1985), with the roller-cage bearing that gives it several times the bearing surface of an ordinary barrel hinge.
How to read the part number. The last two digits give the mount, the letter the finish. Flat = weld plate for square or rectangular tube; round = curved plate for round pipe; bolt = bolt-on plate. Pick the heavy-duty (20xx) line for leaves over about 1,000 lb for the pair, the Gorilla (2060/2062/2064) where the gate must not be lifted off, and stainless (2180SS/2185SS) near salt water or pool chemicals.

Welding and maintenance
- Weld the yoke to the gate and the channel to the post.
- Weld the vertical edges only — never across the top or bottom, which can distort the bearing.
- Keep the top and bottom hinge pins on one straight vertical line, or the gate will bind and drift.
- Grease through the zerk: one pump of multi-purpose grease every 3 months, more often in severe weather. Do not over-grease.

Is this one hinge or two?
Two — a pair, for one gate leaf.
Will it carry my gate?
The 1,000 lb rating is for the pair on a properly built, plumb leaf. Heavy or tall leaves, or leaves on a gate operator, are better on the heavy-duty (20xx) line.
Can I use it on an automated gate?
Yes — these are sold in LiftMaster's gate operator accessory range. A free-swinging leaf on good hinges is what every swing operator manufacturer asks for; binding hinges are a common cause of operator overload faults.
