DoorKing's Newest & Most Advanced Arm Design: The DKS Octagonal Lighted Signal Arm is the newest option for DoorKing's popular 1601 Barrier Gate Operator. The octagonal profile provides greater rigidity than round or rectangular arms while accepting optional reverse edge sensors and LED lighting for unmatched safety and driver visibility.
Built-In LED Signal Capability: While lowered, the reverse sensing edge on the aluminum arm is lit with red LEDs, sending a clear signal for drivers to stop. When raised, the LEDs transition to green — easily alerting drivers when to pull forward. This active red/green signal system dramatically reduces driver confusion and improves traffic flow at busy access points.
Red & White Tape — MUTCD Compliant: The 1601-555 features red and white tape for high-visibility compliance with national traffic control standards, making it the correct choice for facilities requiring MUTCD-compliant barrier arms.
Extendable with 2-Foot Extension Kit: A 2-foot extension kit is available for applications requiring additional reach beyond the standard 14-foot length. This makes the 1601-555 adaptable to wider lane configurations without requiring a different arm entirely.
