Genuine DoorKing 1597-010 slave keypad interface board — the replacement circuit board inside the DoorKing 1500-series secondary (slave) keypads: the 1506-081 surface-mount and 1506-096 flush-mount slave keypads that hang off a primary 1812, 1504 or 1506 unit. The board takes the keystrokes and passes them to the primary unit over the keypad cable; the primary does the decoding and fires the relay.
Slave keypads only. A stand-alone 1506 keypad has its own control board; this interface board is for the secondary keypad that has no memory of its own. If the secondary keypad is dead, check the 1598-010 secondary keypad connector and the cable back to the primary before replacing the board.

Is the board actually the problem?
Work down this list before you buy:
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Secondary keypad dead | The cable to the primary unit and the 1598-010 connector before the board |
| Keys register at the keypad but the primary does nothing | The cable and connector, then this board |
| Primary keypad works, secondary does not | This board |
| Dead after a storm | This board — and fit surge protection at the primary unit |
After fitting
Test every key from the secondary keypad against the primary unit's relay before closing the housing.
