Genuine Genie 112357.0002.S circuit board kit — the single-phase, 1/2 HP relay control board for Genie's commercial door operators: the GCL-J and GCL-H standard-duty jackshaft / hoist operators and the GCL-GH heavy-duty, in jackshaft or trolley configuration. Genie and Overhead Door are the same company and the Overhead Door RSX (standard duty) and RHX (heavy duty) use the same control platform; Overhead Door's parts list numbers this board position 111854.0001.S, earlier 111399.0002.S. The board carries the LCD diagnostic display, the LimitLock limit system and the monitored entrapment inputs required by UL 325 (2010).
Read the motor data plate before you order. The 112357 kits are split by motor switching, not by model: single-phase 1/2 HP motors are switched by a relay on this board; single-phase 3/4 and 1 HP motors need the contactor kit 112357.0001.S. Three-phase and 575 V operators use the 112357.0003.S and 112357.0004.S kits, which we can order. The wrong kit fits the box and will not run the motor.

Is the board actually the problem?
The board is the most over-ordered part on a commercial door operator. Work down this list before you buy:

| Display dead, motor dead | The control transformer, its fuse and the circuit breaker before the board. A blank display with a healthy 24 V secondary is the board. |
| Display works, motor will not run | The relay on this board, then the motor thermal overload and the capacitor. A hum with no movement is usually the motor or capacitor, not the board. |

After fitting
The board is factory-set for jackshaft or trolley. After a field replacement, enter calibration mode, scroll to GDO TYPE and set J-SHAFT or TROLLEY to match the operator — the manual is explicit that a board set for the wrong type will not run. Then set the open and close limits, select the entrapment device type, and run the reversing test.
Fit surge protection when you fit the board. Lightning and utility surges are the most common reason a commercial operator board is replaced, and a new board on the same unprotected supply is at the same risk.
