TransCore eGo Plus Micro Mini Half-Frame Sticker Tag

The 13-3250-001 is TransCore's low-profile windshield sticker tag — a beam-powered RFID transponder that lets a reader at the gate identify a vehicle as it approaches. The gate opens on its own. No remote, no card, nothing for the driver to do.

The Micro Mini's compact half-frame design keeps visual interference on the windshield to a minimum while delivering the same read performance as TransCore's larger eGo Plus windshield sticker tags. It is the tag most gated communities standardise on.

Ordering: minimum 10 units, sold in lots of 10. Special order, non-returnable. These are programmed to your system, which is why they cannot be returned. Contact us to confirm availability and lead time before you order — we would rather tell you the timing up front than have you waiting.

What a sticker tag actually does

The tag has no battery. A reader at the gate transmits, the tag draws power from that signal and replies with its unique ID, and your access control system decides whether to open. Read happens at normal approach speed, through the windshield, in any weather.

Because there is no battery, there is nothing to replace and no service life to track. Fit it once and it works until the vehicle leaves.

Where to mount it

Inside the windshield, behind the rear-view mirror, near the centre of the glass. Clean the area first. The adhesive is single-use by design — the tag is destroyed if removed, so a credential cannot be moved from one vehicle to another.

Metallised windshields are the main cause of a tag that will not read. Many modern vehicles have a metallic or heated windshield coating that blocks UHF signal. Most have a small uncoated window behind the mirror — mount there. If there is no clear area at all, use the eGo Plus mini external tag or a headlight tag instead.

Keep it a few inches clear of any existing toll transponder so the two do not interfere, and away from the metallic tint band along the top of the glass.

Half-frame or full frame?

Both are $17.98 and both are the same eGo Plus Micro Mini tag. The difference matters more than the name suggests:

 Half-frame — this tagFull frame
Part 13-3250-001 13-3290-001
Profile Low profile, less visible on the glass Full frame flat chip
Programming Standard ASCII 12-character format only
Lead time Call to confirm 10–12 weeks

Unless your system specifically requires the ASCII 12-character full-frame format, order the half-frame. Same price, same performance, and you are not waiting a quarter for delivery.

Will it work with my reader?

The tag runs the eGo / eGo Plus protocol. Your reader has to speak it.

ReaderReads this tag?
10-4002-009 EncomPass4 eGo/ATA Yes
10-4002-024 E4, ATA/SeGo/6C Yes — and reads mixed tag populations

If you are adding tags to an existing installation, tell us your reader model before you order. That one check is the difference between tags that work and 10 non-returnable tags that do not.

Most of these go out in quantity — an HOA tagging every resident vehicle, an apartment complex issuing to tenants, a yard tagging a fleet. Common questions

What is a TransCore sticker tag? A thin adhesive RFID transponder for a vehicle windshield. A reader at the gate identifies the vehicle as it approaches and opens the gate.

Where does it go on the windshield? Inside, behind the rear-view mirror, near the centre. Clean the glass first.

Can I move it to another car? No. The tag is built to be destroyed on removal so a credential cannot be passed between vehicles. That is deliberate.

Does it need a battery? No. It draws power from the reader's signal, so there is nothing to replace.

Why is there a minimum order? These are programmed for your system, which makes them a special order. Minimum 10, in lots of 10, non-returnable.

My tag stopped reading. In order of likelihood: a metallised or heated windshield, the tag mounted outside the reader's zone, another transponder too close, or the reader antenna out of alignment.

Will it work with an AWID or DoorKing reader? No — this is an eGo/eGo Plus tag. For those systems see the AWID WS-UHF-0-0 or the DoorKing 1508-195.
