Slide Gate SL505 parts

Before you order — three things to check.

1. There are three different control boards and they are not interchangeable. K79-40056 is the full system board, K79-40091 is the SL505-BR board, and K79-40098 is the solar board. Ordering by "SL505 board" alone will get you the wrong one — identify which board is in your operator before you buy.

2. Two kits differ from the SW425 swing operator by a single digit. The SL505 takes solar kit K74-40032 and cover kit K74-40041. The SW425 takes K74-40031 and K74-40141. All four are real, distinct parts, and the two operators share most of their other electrics — so a part that looks familiar from an SW425 may still be the wrong one. Check the number carefully.

3. This is a 12 volt DC battery operator. It runs from two 12V 7AH batteries (29-NP712) kept topped up by the 29-40095 charger. If the gate is slow or quits under load, batteries are the first thing to check, not the motor. Batteries degrade on a schedule regardless of cycle count.

Most of the mechanical repair is sold as lettered service kits — the motor reducer, idler sprocket, operator cover, limit switch and plate, PCB guard, bridge rectifier, external resistor and solar panel all ship as complete kits rather than loose components.
