This sprocket assembly was exactly was I needed for my 3/4 HP Craftsman garage door opener. Installation was a breeze and everything works like it should now.

Pros: The part I ordered included everything as pictured and described. The ordering process was easy. I choice standard shipping (3-7 days) and received the part in 3 days.

Cons: The metal housing that attaches to the top of the opener unti was not pre-threaded. I had to use a 10-32 tap to thread the holes. The included instructions are too broad and less than helpful. I'm fairly handy and have had to change the nylon gears in the past. Without that previous experience I don't see how a novice do-it-yourself person can take it on without detailed instructions.

Scott, the screws are self taping screws they cut their own threads.

The part appears to be the same quality as the original part it's replacing at 2/3 the cost. Gatehouse was also willing to use USPS to ship instead of FedEx (which Sears will only use) saving me even more money. In the end, I was able to save almost 50%. The part arrived quickly and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I will definitely buy from Gatehouse again. Now if I could just figure out where I left the screws for the housing. . .
