Doorking 8040-080 The model 8040 is a multi-purpose RF receiver that will work with both MicroClik and MicroPlus transmitters and can be used in a variety of access control applications. a dry contact relay is provided for door or gate operator activation, or for magnetic or electric door strike release. The receiver can also be programmed for 26, 30 or 31-bit weigand output, making it compatible with most access control systems. A new low power draw operating mode makes the 8040 ideal for solar power applications. The 8040 programming is simplified with a selector switch built into the receiver. Installers simply select which mode they want the receiver to operate in, and then proceed with transmitter programming. Another unique feature of the 8040 allows the installer to program a Master Transmitter. The master transmitter allows the consumer to easily add additional transmitter codes to the receiver memory, without having to put the receiver into a programming mode. In addition, the 8040 uses a superhetrodyne RF circuit which increases its receiving range. The 8040 replaces both the model 8056 MicroPlus receiver and the 8059 MicroClik receiver. Unit can be used in Stand Alone mode will hold up to 100 remotes in that mode
A change was made to the 8040 RF Receiver to improve the range when the receiver is powered from an external power source. Because of this change, a slight wiring modification is required when connecting the receiver directly to a wiegand controller using the standard red-black-green-white wiegand wiring protocol.
A jumper wire needs to be placed from terminal 1 (power common) to terminal 6 (wiegand common). This is only required if you are powering the receiver from the access controller.
