This is a hard to find part and exactly what I needed. Old gear was stripped. I had called Liftmaster and was told the gate opener arm is a sealed unit and they do not offer parts for it. BS! Thanks Gatehouse for offering this easily replaceable part for about a tenth on a new arm. This part will fit the LA400 and LA412 series.

I ordered the inner gears for my Liftmaster LA400 form Gatehouse and they arrived a couple days later. It was a bit overwhelming when I opened up the gate arm and but I was able to replace the stripped gears with the new ones with relative ease and now my gate works better than ever!

My LA400 gate opener was having difficulty opening my gate. It was starting and stopping when opening, and making sounds like gears were being jumped. I removed it and opened the case. I saw that a lot of the white grease had turned black, like metal/plastic gear bits were mixed in. I ordered the Spare Release Shaft, installed it, and now the opener works perfectly. No jumping and it is very quiet again. This $40 part saved me a minimum of $400.
